Erb Residence
Arlington VA, United States of America
This original house was burnt to the ground in an electrical fire.
Due to budget and time constraints the owners wanted the new house built on the existing foudation. They also wanted a house that fits in their quaint, quentessential American neighborhood.
We accomplished the owners desires by replicating the scale and materials of the existing neighborhood with a touch of cyprus and cultured stone.
The interior has a double-height family room below and the rear yard has nine foot high doors and windows that open up to a patio and fish pond.
The house is contexual in scale and material but contemporary in its spirit.
