Airport Concept

Any Country, Any City

The idea for the conceptual airport sprung to light during the design of the Africa Art Center in South Africa.

This was an initial, contemporary, unrefined version of the Africa Center. The skeletal expression of the African hut in constructon and its transformation, via straw cladding, during completion, is the inspiration for our process.

Though unsolicited in the design competition we felt that this airport will be a great introduction to arriving visitors who may or may not make the connection to the Africa Center.

We hope to build this Airport and the Africa Center and give both ideas a resting place.
